** spoiler alert ** Jorie and Ethan Ford appear to have the perfect life until he's arrested one morning for a murder he allegedly committed as a teen. As the story comes out and he confesses his guilt, Jorie must come to terms with the fact that she and her son Collie have been living with a stranger. The book explores how well we ever really know someone... everyone has a past- should we forgive and forget? Should anyone be forgiven for murder- even when admitting their guilt and asking for forgiveness? More Jodi Picoult than Alice Hoffman, very enjoyable!
