This is one of those books that stays with you, that haunts you for awhile after you've read the last page. I don't want to say I "liked" this book b/c it's dark, but I did find myself wanting to finish it. I didn't trust the narrator, though. I often felt heartsick for the poor boy, because his mom didn't really 'like' him, but at the same time, I'd feel terrible for her, because he seemed so 'off'.
