Every recipe I've tried in this book is great.
Katie has tried more and they are even better.
Vegan Cupcakes can definitely be as good as non-vegan ones. That's not something that seems like it can be said about many other foods.
The pictures are also fabulous, most of the cookbooks I read have line drawings for illustrations, because they generally explain techniques better. But Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World is as much a cheerleader for the vegan lifestyle as it is a cookbook, so it uses awesome photos of delectable treats to great effect.
One great thing about vegan cupcakes themselves is that they don't have any perishable ingredients, so you can really make them up at the spur of the moment even if you don't have any milk or eggs in the house.
