This book was apparently not borrowed from for the TV series, so it was the first one I didn't have bizarre echoes in my head for while reading. So far, three for three, I get about halfway through one of these books and I have to finish reading it right there, even if I had only been reading it a few pages at a time previously. I sat in a Chick-Fil-A for two hours to finish the last 200 pages of this one.

All in all, an enjoyable read with some absolutely beautiful lines and interesting escapades. You know he's not going to die because he's the narrator and there are like ten more books, but somehow it is still completely fascinating.
