The Abstinence Teacher by Tom Perrotta
This new novel from Tom Perrotta is about life in the 'burbs when those 'burbs are invaded by fundamentalists. There are two main charaters - Ruth and Tim - and the book is divided between their stories. I found myslef liking the Tim character more in the end - but maybe because I identified with him more. What I really liked about this book is the way Perrotta uses the Tim character to remind us that redemption takes many different forms.
