I won this book on Goodreads! I can't wait to read it!

I think if I could, I would rate this a 4.5. I feel bad for the timing of receiving the book and the corresponding events of my life because it took me far too long to really sit down and READ this book. Once I sat down to really read it, on Friday night, it was difficult to set it down. I enjoyed this book as much as I enjoyed Shutter Island.

Larsen's Mania centers around Nick, a young newspaper reporter. A killer known as the Street Butcher is loose in Seattle, and Nick always seems to be one step ahead in getting pictures of the crime scenes. Of course he becomes a suspect in the eyes of some. Soon the stress seems to get to him, resulting in pieces of his past haunting him and his questioning of who the killer really could be.

I loved how the plot kept twisting. Every time I thought I had it figured it out, something else was thrown at me to make me question if I had it right or not. For me, the sign of a good thriller is if you have all the pieces and you just can't figure out how they go together until the end. Mania succeeded in keeping me involved in the read. The last eighty pages resulted in me staying up much later than I should have, but it was worth it! :)
