Angela's Ashes by Frank McCourt
Talk about a book that will put your problems into their proper perspective. This is one of the most depressing and well written books I have ever read. McCourt manages to write in the voice of whatever age he is in the story. Most authors write memoirs with the reterospection of an adult, not by retelling as a child and I liked that.
