Read from April 11 to 16, 2010

The main character recently found out his wife of ten years was having an affair with his boss. Shortly thereafter, his father dies, and he's forced to mourn under the same roof with his entire family for a week. There's nothing better than a good dark comedy about the world's second most dysfunctional family (second only to Burrows).

Even though I found myself chuckling through most of the book, there are definitely some dark undertones and serious moments. The author makes many astute observations about life after 10 years of marriage--the good and the bad. Every character has some sort of issue that they trudge through with sarcasm and denial. Loved it.

Tropper's style is sharp and witty--he's the type of author I never get tired of reading. Can't wait to read more of his stuff. Koz, I think you'd really like this one.
