Overall, I liked the book, but a few things frustrated me about it. First, there was a lot that was left unanswered. This was one book that could have added more, especially in terms of the mysteries with the Sisterhood, the Fast One, and even the fate of some of the characters at the end.

I also felt at some points a lack of connection with Mary. I was connected with her in the beginning and I lost it in the middle, but the last 100 pages I re-connected with her. I spent a good portion of the book feeling she was being ungrateful and selfish. It wasn't until the end that I really understood that thirst and desire that was so haunting and unattainable. This brought the book back to life for me.

I will definitely read on and I hope some of the unanswered questions will be answered.
