Crispin: The Cross of Lead (Crispin #1)
A bit on the predictable side, but overall a good book. That seems to be the trend with Avi--all well written, historically interesting, and a little predictable. The ends are never exactly as I think they will be, but I find myself reading just to see if he will write the predicable ending or change it at the last minute. In my opinion, the historical aspect of this book is the best part and that is the biggest chunk of the book so...don't necessarily want to read again or teach it, but will recommend it to boys!
