it was amazing
bookshelves: scifi-fantasy

Oh Neil Gaiman how I love you.
That should be my entire review.
He captures the feeling of fairy tales perfectly, without this being a retelling. I enjoyed the movie, but of course the book is always better and I beg everyone to read it, especially if you can find the gorgeous graphic novel version.

Emily Bryan-Reeder I liked the movie better. I think that's the first time that's ever happened.

Laura Did you see the movie first? I've found that viewing/reading order is the number one reason why I like one better than the other! Another reason my be my love of fairy tale/folklore retellings.
