Whodunnit's are kind of addicting, and Julie Kramer is an able practitioner of the fine art. I think she came close to following the Chekov imperative: If you put a gun in the story, be sure to use it. There were, as goes with this genre, many red herrings, guns that weren't used. But the unraveling of the mystery was enough to keep me turning the pages. It also lagged enough to let my mind wander and begin to wonder what Stephanie Plum and Lulu would have done with the case, though.
