Jill's review
The Love Season by Elin Hilderbrand
Two remarks... The book is very well written, and I appreciate this aspect. I was engaged in the story, liked the characters.
But, I don't like the idea that female friendship is so often taken to the level of a lesbian relationship in contemporary fiction. Really, isn't the friendship powerful enough for strong emotion? It doesn't ring true for me.
