This is an amazing book, I try to avoid Oprah picks cause I just don't like to follow the pack, but someone gifted me with this. It is about a woman in Atlanta who was distanced from her family and roots. She becomes HIV positive and when that destroys her career, she returns home to figure things out. All is not hunky dory in her town, or with her sister, so she goes about trying to help her family, grudgingly helping her town, and in the process finds love and helps herself. This book is really about positivity, optimism, love and learning to not let anything hold you down. It truly is amazing.
