Peter Abrahams' Reality Check is a mystery novel. County High's football quarterback, Cody, is dating Clea. He has a job that pays well, he's smart and keeps up in school, and he's dating one of the prettiest girls in town. Cody's happiness all changes when he tears his ACL and Clea is sent away to boarding school in Vermont. His football career and love life were now over. Even though Cody and Clea broke up, they still sent letters. Cody recieved the news that Clea had gone missing. He got a letter from her that morning and he thought it had clues to her disappearance. Cody went to Vermont to search for Clea. This book is about Cody's journey in Vermont and how he searches for the love of his life. Reality Check is very intriguing. When reading this book, expect the unexpected. Don't underestimate any of the characters, because there is many surprises. The fact that there was so many surprises really kept you reading because it makes you anxious for more. I believe that any young adult or teenager that likes mysteries would like this book. It isn't a very difficult book to read; it doesn't have very many difficult words. The language is pretty ordinary, so it is easy for anybody to understand. I enjoyed this book and I recommend others to read it because it's an easy but good read.
