** spoiler alert **
I am not very far into this book but starting out I was disappointed in it. I don't really care if I read it or not, I don't have the obsessive need to get back to it as I do with some books. My opinion may change by the end.

Upon finishing the book, I was satisfied with the story. Though it didn't end the way I wanted it to end, with Skip raising the baby, I thought that it was still worth my time in the end. The story is one that you know is trying to teach you a lesson on life along with a story if you let it. What I get from it is that you can't look back on all the things you didn't do in life and be bitter. Like Mrs. Blessing, you have to look back on all the years and appreciate what you had, not hold on to all the grief and injustice in your life. I think Mrs Blessing realized this too late in life and was all the more grief sticken.
