Buying the book I thought I was purchasing a classic murder mystery only to find the wording 'A 'Wicked' Woman Whodunnit Romance'. The book loses nothing for this romantic tag but there is rather a lot of steamy sex scenes in it (and again it loses nothing for this!) to go along with the murder that takes place over a weekend party at the Hamptons.
Maggie Harding, the main character, finds herself with a dilemma when she meets up with a former beau and she once again finds herself attracted to him. They are forced to spend time together once the murder is discovered and the police keep everybody housebound.
The relationship develops as does the plot that involves folk from the film industry, directors, producers and actors, who were set to enjoy themselves at the party. A lot of bitchiness creeps in and the perpetrator of the crime is a complete mystery, although there are plenty of suspects a la Agatha Christie.
All is finally revealed and Maggie's relationship with Tyler Brody ... no, read it and see! You'll enjoy it!
