Review: R.L. STINE excels once again at horror fiction. This is certainly his genre. Anyway, this is a book that I have read previously in my old school. When I read books now, I analyze parts of the book. I thought this book was great but with a few exceptions. The first exception is the vocabulary. I know that this book is for younger children but now I have distinguished & clarified that even for myself. Despite this exception, I thought to some extent the language & content was imagery-quality & I was easily able to visualize the text. Basically, in the book, the girl uses a mask that she buys from a really scary and weird store ( in my opinion) to scare some kids that bully her. The mask possesses her & on Halloween the Mask fully or 100% possesses her. She becomes this like demon & she struggles to fight it. Towards the end of the book, I personally liked how R.L.STINE expresses her unbearing need for help to get upossessed by this mask. I also observed the examples the author uses to describe her relationship with kids who are bullies. I think that he may have used examples based on his real life. Lastly, I think that she should have been herself instead of scaring off those kids or endeavoring to. That is a good moral. I'd also like to add that it also introduces the fear of what bullying people can do to others. Good book
