Didn't like this quite as much as other books by Kerouac that I've read, I felt that his style of writing wasn't as good at describing his relationship with Maggie it took a central position in the book without much explanation to how it came about. On the other hand the way he describes his mates from school he played football/baseball/basketball with works well same with the whole being seventeen and having your head completely turned. Maybe two stars was slightly low but wasn't entirely sure it was worth three.
