I have just returned from a major library binge, swooped onto the couch with my half-finished cinnamon mocha, and opened The Arrival. My mocha is now cold.

I could NOT stop turning pages, so engrossed in such a surreal story, with the most fantastic illustrations I've seen since The Adventures of Hugo Cabret.

I'm a sucker for science fiction themes, which on the surface, is an accurate depiction of this graphic novel; however, it eventually dawns on you that the theme of this story is universal. (then again, I do believe that's the point of sci-fi, but I'm taking the "setting" line-of-thinking here)

I'll be "reading" it a few more times I think before returning to good ol' FPL. I'm also trolling the web because I'm dying to see more of this guy's work - and maybe discover a wallpaper or two?
