bookshelves: read2009, guilty-pleasures, ya
Recommended for: former angsty goth girls, currently angsty goth girls

Oh my god. Why am I even reading these? Sure, they're better than Twilight, but what isn't? Half this book is devoted to rehashing the action of the last, with uncompelling romantic interludes cluttering up the rest. I love the ass-kicking girls, though, and I fell hard for the inherent allure of Vampires In Siberia. So three stars, then. Though I'd recommend that you, like me, skip book three. There's so much recap in #4 that you won't even miss it.

edit: I went back later and read book 3. It's true, you can skip it without missing anything.

Theodora can I borrow them if you own 'em? (vampires = guilty pleasure)

Sarah Keliher we've been buying them for my partner's daughter - though i've been reading them all first. :) i'd be happy to loan them to you if i can find them in her room. we're moving, so they should turn up fairly soon in the packing - moving to east bay drive! whoo!
