it was amazing
bookshelves: own, keep
Read from January 17 to 21, 2010 — I own a copy , read count: 1

This book was recommended to my by Crystal, and I loved it. I loved the twists and turns. Around the middle of the book, I had a feeling about where the book was heading, but was pleasantly surprised by all the complexities that were explored as the book progressed.

The characters were strong and I loved Maris, Parker, and Mike. Some great twists and turns as well. I also liked that there wasn't the formula sub-plot where girl hates boy, boy pleads forgiveness and girl finally believes him and gives in after about a 100 pages. Oh, there is friction, but telling how, when, and where it plays out would spoil the book.

The end was exciting and satisfying. Even more twists at the end. The only thing I would have liked better (and this happens in a lot of books I've read), I would have liked to seen the author extend the lives of the main characters a little further. In a lot of cases, although not all, I really like epilogues.

This is my first time reading this author, and I will definitely be checking on other titles. I was not disappointed.
