I like Ward's books specially her earlier ones. And one of my favorites of the Brothers is V. So I was really excited to get my hands on this one. Sadly it really didn't meet my expectations.

There are some likable scenes but there are also some that I just found boring. There were a lot of things happening in the story and I'm thinking that Ward's paving the way for the next books. It's alright to do that but I don't want it distracting me from the main focus of the hero/heroine. And that's what happened here.

As for the ending between the hero and heroine... what was that? It was just weird. Personally, I felt that it was not really a happily ever after between them. Yeah, they are together but there's still an obstacle in their relationship. Plus I just can't imagine how that went. Now I wonder if there's still something left unsaid for the Jane in the following books. Well, that's paranormal to you. One step more to the unreal.

But even with those, I'm still looking forward to the next installment in the series, Phury's book, because I'm really curious how those two characters would be together. And I'm hoping that Ward will be redeeming herself.
