This book is CRAZY. I'm apparently really into apocalyptic fiction right now, which isn't working out so good for my sleep habits.

In Knife of Never Letting Go, Todd lives in a world where everyone can hear everyone else's thoughts, which is referred to as the Noise. He's been taught that the Noise is part of germ warfare that came from an alien race and that the Noise killed off all the women, including his mother. When he finds a live girl, Viola, with strange quiet surrounding her, though, he begins to realize that everything he's been taught is based on lies. Suddenly Viola, Todd and Todd's talking dog Manchee (I wish my dogs could talk!!) are on the run and they don't know who they can trust. Highly recommended!!
