This was my first goodreads giveaway win. It took a long time for it to get to me but I am glad that I did eventually recieve it. I found it was one of those nice easy reads that is great when you want to take a break and just relax. It requires little thought and distracts you from your everyday life. The writing was good and the plot line was interesting. I enjoyed the characters as well but sometimes I didn't understand or agree with Marcie (Not to give anything away but when it came to a particular housing situation I thought her actions were a little more crazy than loving).
The book tackled the issue of moving on after a spouses death. This is a difficult emotional area to grasp because there really is no right or wrong answer to when it is okay to let go. It made the novel more emotional and complicated and it made you think about what it would be like to be in a similar situation.
