I did not think I wanted to read this one based on the trailers that I had seen about the movie, but I am so glad that I did. It was a psychological thriller that had you constantly guessing about what was really happening and I must say that I was way off base. The reality and the fantasy were so totally intertwined in this book that I had to sit for a few moments after finishing in order to really absorb what it was that I had just uncovered.

In fact, it was so intertwined that I am still not exactly sure what was real and what had been just formed in the mind of the main character. I ended up admiring those that I loathed at the beginning and feeling sorry for those that I had envisioned to be a tower of strength.

The saying that "nothing is ever as it seems" goes double force for this book. I was so hesitant about this one, but now totally would recommend it as a very good book. Yes, the subject matter is tough and it is definitely not a light read, but it is a quick and entertaining one.

Diane D. See Linda, you wrote another fabulous review!! I'm glad you enjoyed it!

LemonLinda Thanks - I will see the movie even if I wait until DVD to compare and usually Leo Decaprio gives such a totally immersed performance. That should be something.

Diane D. Linda, I liked seeing the movie after having read the book. I noticed many "clues" that I otherwise would not have been aware of. I watched the movie from a completely different perspective.
