Art's review
Fruit of the Lemon: A Novel by Andrea Levy
Well-written, humorous, and an easy read. I particularly enjoyed the last few chapters when she was in Jamaica as it brought back some delightful memories. I now somewhat understand where many American-born _____ people are coming from with their warped (in some ways, condescending) views of their ancestral country. While I used to blame it entirely on the children, I now believe (thanks to this book and living abroad for so long) it largely stems from the lack of education from parents about the country, culture and traditions.
