it was ok

Not very impressive thriller about a group of teens with exceptional skills, recruited by a quasi-governmental agency to undertake perilous assignments. This is not an original idea, but can be entertaining if well executed - as, e.g., the first book in *The Squad* series was, with distinctive characters and a healthy dose of humor. In this book, although Frankie is supposed to approach the world from a humorous perspective, there is little true humor, and the characters are relatively faceless. The narrator, Gigi, alternates between being a super-smart computer geek (complete with technical terms that I swear are made up) and a lovesick adolescent. It's hard to care about her or her team.
