it was amazing
bookshelves: biographies-autobio-s, history, non-fiction
Read in December, 2009

He lead an amazing career in the US military until the Civil War. he was asked to lead the Union in war against the South and he retired from the Union and went to the other side. He couldn't bear arms against his home of Virginia. Book would be appropriate for young readers.
