really liked it

I loved this story of a diamond that is found by a witch doctor in the Congo and the adventures that unravel when he tries to cash in on his big find. The novel has short manageable chapter and it is written in a charming style that makes you admire the simple and innocent ways that the Congolese people approach life. It reminded me a little bit of The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency series by Alexander McCall Smith except that it was meatier and the mystery a little more interesting. I would definitely recommend it as an enjoyable and quick (yet not very fluffy) read.
