There are a lot of "fluff" children's books out there. This isn't one of them. Wilfrid Gordon (and his parents) live next to an old folks' home. Wilfrid Gordon loves his next-door neighbors, particularly Miss Nancy Allison Delacourt Cooper, because they have the same number of names. Miss Nancy is getting forgetful. Wilfrid Gordon goes out of his way to help her remember.

I love this book because it shows the power of adopting grandparents, and the joy that children can bring into everyone's life.
