I have to admit that this wasn't a spellbinding series, but I did want to know not just how it ended, but how it got to that conclusion. Also, while I felt almost bored by some of the backstory included in every book, I thought the book had some great talking points for discussion with my children who are reading the books - especially what it means to be free, what it means to be brave, how youth can influence the world, how one small act can change the course of things, etc. Ian (10) is really enjoying the books. Definitely written for younger readers.
