it was amazing

Blankets covers a lot of the same territory Black Hole did: adolescent loneliness and confusion, fumbling first love, and even the disgust of watching your body change during adolescence. Thompson treats his characters with considerably more compassion than Burns, though, and interestingly, his drawing style is also much gentler compared to Burns' rigid lines and oceans of black ink.

Blankets is an amazing accomplishment and a treasure. I might even say it's is my favorite comic ever, but nostalgic love for Maus, Transmetropolitan would make typing those words feel like needles in my heart.
