A good bit of fun. The historical notes at the end are very helpful. The book includes a large dictionary, but I don't think the word choices will be too confusing to anyone who has ever read a historical/Old West adventure. (Plus, they can probably figure out a lot from context.) I worry that some might choose to be offended by the Indian chief, but it seemed pretty clear to me that he was not intended to represent Indians in general. He was a man with a good spirit guide and a great sense of humor. Frankly, the characters are all larger-than-life. And some of them are really quite funny.
