Dear Mom by Joseph T. Ward
An excellent Vietnam memoir that vividly describes the author's training and experience as a Marine sniper. Ward comes across as a genuine and conflicted human being who acted as an unfeeling killer. The description can't help but sound cliched, but Dear Mom is well worth reading.
