Other people are going to write long-winded reviews of this book, so I'll settle for simply saying that I really liked Isabel and Cole.

In Shiver, the reader was constantly aware of the dangers that lay ahead through the steadily dropping temperature given at the top of every chapter. It created a sense of foreboding, of inevitability. This book didn't have anything that operated in that same fashion. Granted, tension did increase as the novel approached its climax, but it wasn't at the same level as book one.

I did like this title, quite a bit actually, but I liked Shiver quite a bit more.
