it was amazing
bookshelves: reviews, fiction
Recommended for: all seekers
Read in January, 2000

The copy of the book I owned was ratted and torn, 1,000+ pages, and in small print. But I read it like a starved man needing food. It was absolutley everything I needed at the moment--drama, a bold, domineering woman, love triangles, principles, inescapable truths--God, it was so fucking life-changing!

I haven't read it since, and now I dread picking up the book. I mean, do I really want to live through all this again? In retrospect, it's not the best written book. Too didactic and ideological for my tastes in general.

But I needed a book like this when I read it. It blew my mind away when I read it. And I will forever be grateful.
