Steph Miller's review
The Second Summer of the Sisterhood by Ann Brashares
I just finished reading this book, and I really, really enjoyed it. I think that it is actually my favorite book in the series so far.
My favorite part of this book was seeing how much the characters "grew" from last book. My favorite character, Lena, goes through the biggest change, I think, in the whole story. In the last book, she had a very hard time opening up to a boy that she really liked (who liked her back). Throughout this story, though, she learns to be herself around him and a little more!
I also really liked the message that the author, Ann Brashares, gets across with this book (and, I guess, the whole series...). She reminds the reader, that no matter what happens, you will always have another person who really cares about you to fall back on. Kinda cheesy, but I really enjoy books with themes that make you feel good, like this one.
So yeah... this is a really good book. I really think that you should go read it if you haven't yet!!
