Marcel's review
The Rose Without a Thorn: The Wives of Henry VIII by Jean Plaidy
This is one of Jean Plaidy's early books. I read it because I am trying to broaden my awareness of various genres. Plaidy has a reputation as one of the classic writers of historical fiction.
I enjoyed the writing style of Plaidy--simple, organized and easy to read. The story is rather predictable, but enjoyable nevertheless.
