Very good book. Has non stop action. The characters are well developed, defined, and are likeable. The chemistry with Jace and Clary is very strong. Even though a lot of the book is from Clary's perspective, it does include other character's perspective more so than in other books I've read.

If I make a comparison to Twilight - Stephenie Meyer has always stated that she wrote her books for herself and didn't think about who her target audience was and I felt very satisfied. I feel that this author was very well aware of who her audience and purposely tries to leave her audience frustrated and somewhat dissatified. I found the amount of frustration I endured didn't always feel balanced to the pleasure.
