Winna's review
Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman by Haruki Murakami
I bought this latest book by Haruki Murakami in Hong Kong last month. I expected a lot from him since he is so popular, and I read about his excellent reviews.
Let's just say you should not expect too much. I dont like his first novel Norwegian Wood. Don't ask me why, I just don't like it as much as I like Banana Yoshimoto's.

From his 25 stories in this book, I find a few I dont like. They are strange and I find myself enjoying the plot until the ending ruins it all and leaves things hanging.
My favorites are Shinagawa Monkey and Birthday Girl. A few others I like but get mixed up by the title. :) Enjoyable read, a pack of horror stories, adventures, love stories, loneliness, packed up into one thick pa...more
