This was pretty good. The Cole story, the first of two in the book, is an Immortals after Dark story. It's Murdoch, the 4th and final Wroth brother's story. His fated Bride is Daniela, queen of the Ice fey. She is so cold she can only be touched by her own kind, which makes the whole sex aspect tricky. But it's kind of a gimmick and it's not that interesting as the basis for a book. She did well to keep this one short.

The second story is by Gena Showalter, and the only other thing I have read of hers is the Lords of the Underworld books, and this is pretty different. It's about aliens in a futuristic Earth. It was pretty good, a little less story than the Lords book but it was a short story. I tend to think Showalter's love stories get sappy at the end. I mean, I know it's a romance novel and there is going to be a happy ending and all that, but it's just too much I love you, no I love you, no I love YOU! for my taste...
