This was a very quick read-- I had forgotten how funny Klosterman can be. Although I have to say, I didn't enjoy this one as much as I have others in the past. I think that might be because it is starting to seem like Klosterman is really forcing the opinions, that he is searching for topics, instead of them being things that he naturally has considered. I really liked his essay on canned laughter, the Unabomber, and Rivers Cuomo. They were as thoughtful, strange and very well researched as some of his other writings in Sex, Drugs, Cocoa Puffs. However, I felt like his essays on Football (and not just because I didn't understand much of it) and on interviewing were a bit nit-picky and almost boring. Good read for long trip though, and still over-all very unique style of writing that Klosterman has invented.
