I think it is funny how this book ended up on my Goodreads bookshelf. Peter thought HE was logged in, and put ME on page 178. :o) So then what could I do? It's all good though, he has always suggested that I read it and if you're going to tackle a Dumas book, I want to say this is like a nice little fluffy cupcake, where his other novels are thick and daunting....too much of a good thing.

Here you will find all you'd expect: betrayal, drama, cruelties, redemption, prison walls. It is all nestled in mostly historical fact, and set in the times of Tulipomania, where finding new strains of tulip could raise you to wealth and glory.
