really liked it
bookshelves: historical

Roller Skates is far better than I expected.
A 19th century wealthy girl who has always had plenty of lessons and supervision has a marvelous summer where she is left in the care of a relative who gives her all the freedom she desires, such as chewing gum, rollerskating down a sidewalk, and making friends with shopkeepers.
As a kid this sat on my shelf in long wait to be read. I didn't get around to it until my early teens. It was still good then.
