As someone who just read through all 15 (?) Bosch books in the last two months, I have to give a word of warning-- I don't care WHAT the book jacket says, this is NOT a "Bosch" book and it seems like a shameful money grab to label it as such. Bosch only appears in a handful of scenes, and aside from the family connections, there was absolutely no reason his part couldn't have been played by any generic cop character. Lucky for me, I skipped this one until I'd read THE LINCOLN LAWYER

In the end, though, this is a Mickey Haller book, and that's just fine. It isn't as interesting or gripping as the first volume, but it's still a solid read.
