Trials of death is the 5th part of the series written by Darran Shan. In this book hakrat is envloled in a huge way when he saved darran from what may be a painfull death in the 4th trail. Mr crepsly doesnt play much of a role in this because he is doing other things but stays with darran to make sure his trails are going well and he is staying healthy. Arra sails helps Darran in this book to train for some of the trails and so does the one eyed games master, if it wasn't for the help of these guys than darren may have not survived. This book is kind of like the first book in a way that some of the challenges are the same and that the theme is sort of like a battle.

I liked this book because it brings a new twist to the series as when darren has to prove himself in these trails. Others should consider reading this book or series because you will be hooked and you wont put these books down because they are so good. This book helped clear out previous confusion i had with the fourth book as i solved some questions but with questions solved new ones appear i hope book 6 will solve.
