it was amazing
bookshelves: first-read-in-adulthood, multiple-reads, guilt-free-brain-candy

i'm not adding a date read, because i can't count this toward my 2011 challenge. i've already read it once. :) however, i will go on the record as saying that this book reminds me of something that i often forget: that being, i have a crush on corporal carrot. but my goodness, who wouldn't?

the only negative about this book, to me, is gaspode. he's integral; he's important, but i just don't like him. i never have.

also, i love vimes. i love how he and carrot and the rest of the watch play off each other, and the way it just works. i also love the scene in the pork futures warehouse with detritus. it makes you think that perhaps, maybe, that person in front of you in line at the bank might very well be smarter and take less time if perhaps they were put in a freezer for a while. (but, you know... not in a BAD way. a proDUCTive way.)

highly recommended. again.
