This was a DNF for me, thus no rating.

I got to page 68 before deciding not to continue. The story was going nowhere for me; nothing was happening. Very slow beginning. I still needed closure so I hit up a friend and she told me what happens. Let me just say, that if I were to have actually read the entire book myself, I would have thrown the book at the wall.

(view spoiler)[There is no clear-cut ending. It's left completely open. I don't get invested and read a trilogy for a non-conclusive ending. I need absolute closure! (hide spoiler)]

Amelia, the pragmatic idealist Completely agree, especially with your "spoiler" point. How the book ended, for me, kind of contradicted the book's title. I mean, it *is* titled FOREVER...

Trish I'm sad. Two of the best bloggers ever have just shot down one of my favorite series. I will have to read it myself but still :(
Thank you for your honest opinion.

TheBookVixen I'm kind of pissed off about that ending.

Definitely one you need to read for yourself. Let me know what you think when you've read it :)

Julie I didn't like the ending and there were so many unanswered questions in this book. What made this book for me was Cole and Isabel.I would have tossed the book and not finished it because emo boy was way too depressing.

That's what made me mad - the unanswered questions. You just can't do that in a book that concludes the trilogy/series!!

Is this what happened with Mockingjay? Because I've heard many people were upset with the way that trilogy ended. I have all 3 books on my shelf but I'm afraid to start reading it...

Julie No Mockingjay is whole different book from Catching Fire and the characters die and the characters we cared for in Catching Fire are gone. I think that was big part of it.

I think because of the build up from Catching Fire and then it seemed that Katniss wasn't her self. Its a Great series but be aware the mockingjay is different from the other books in the series.

TheBookVixen But MJ has a conclusive ending? Are there any unanswered questions?

Julie Yes there a definate ending and yes questioned were answered. I think the uproar was over the change in katniss from book 2 to book 3. There was also teams of peeta and gale, so that was to do.

TheBookVixen Ok, good to know :)

Wendy Darling The ending was a huge disappointment, ugh.

This could have been ONE book. It didn't need to be a trilogy IMO. Especially with an inconclusive ending. That's just so unfair to the reader.

Wendy Darling I agree. Shiver was perfect for me as it was.
