Heartburn was a book about a relationship that happens to go wrong. This book didn't seem that interesting at first since it was in really small font and was hard to get into. It was hard to understand the story unless you concentrate and had patience with it. Overall this book had some humor into it and a quite weird storyline.
Rachael the main character of this story seems to be going through a lot of pain after finding she is pregnant for 7 months and her husband Mark decides to leave her for another woman he claims he is in love with. Rachael is stuck between the decisions of trying to make this marriage work out or forget about Mark and start all over again. She moves in with her dad and tries to figure things out with some free time.
This book really was kind of interesting because you get all the inside scoop on Mark and Rachael's relationship towards each other. You know who is the bad one. Rachael as a cook and Mark as a Writer have a weird affair but they both have secrets. It was also good because the characters show you their thoughts about what they are thinking about. Rachael seems to be the one that is very paranoid about everything because in the books it shows many of her thoughts that she display against a lot of people. It was humorous in some parts but the language was funny like friends would be labels "sluts" and etc.
Overall I think this book is good for anyone who enjoys a book about a relationship since it was pretty interesting seeing who was doing what in their relationship
